Thank you for your interest in our collaboration platform. The protection of your privacy is important to us. In the following we will inform you about the handling of your data.

I. Collection, processing and use of personal data
The purpose of our collaboration platform is the exchange of information and the cooperation of professionals in different projects. The personal exchange between the participants is the purpose of the platform, so naturally personal data is also collected. We use the Learning Management System (LMS) "Moodle" for the technical processing of the cooperation. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name or email address) is collected via our platform, this is always done on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

When you visit our web pages, our web servers save by default:

  • the name of your internet service provider,
  • the web page from which you are visiting us,
  • the web pages that you visit with us as well
  • the date and duration of the visit

Based on this information, we can recognize the preferences of our visitors and design and develop the web pages accordingly. These data will not be linked to your person. You will find information in the following sections on how to collect additional personal data that is necessary for the use of certain functions of the platform.

IV. Use of cookies
We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your data carrier and that save certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. This storage helps us to design the website accordingly for you and makes it easier for you to use it, for example by saving certain entries that you make so that you do not have to repeat them over and over again. Your browser allows you to make restrictive settings for the use of cookies, which may mean that our offer will only work to a limited extent for you. Cookies can be deleted there too.

V. Types of Cookies
Session cookies: The most important cookie is called MoodleSession by default. You must allow this cookie to ensure that all pages can be accessed after logging in and that the correct page is accessed. After logging out or closing your browser, this cookie is automatically deleted. Long-term cookies: The other cookie is for convenience, by default it starts with the text MOODLEID. With this cookie, your username is stored in your browser in the form of an RC4 cipher and sent back to us every time you contact our server. This means that when you log in to our Moodle server again, the username is automatically entered in the login form. You can forbid this cookie, but you will then have to enter your username yourself each time you log in. This cookie is valid for 60 days and is automatically deleted from your browser after this time. Apart from these, we do not use any cookies, i.e. in particular no third-party cookies.

VI. Contact details and data on the use of the platform in forums
The use of the collaboration platform is voluntary. Admission to the platform takes place when you inform us about the creation of a user account for you by the administrator of this page. To set up personal access to the Moodle platform, electronic storage of the following personal data is necessary:

  • name and first name
  • Login name
  • E-mail address
  • Company name

Furthermore, data entered by you or automatically accruing with your use will be processed on the platform after registration as a user. The "Moodle" software on which the learning platform is based logs the time at which the learning platform is based on the information provided for the registration, some of which is automatically generated, some of which is additionally entered by the user and some of the information stored by the users or the work area managers and administrators for collaboration which users access which components of the joint projects (work areas) or profiles of other users. Furthermore, depending on the design of the individual work area, it is also recorded whether participants take part in tasks or surveys, whether and what contributions they made in the forums offered, whether and how they participated in workshops. This data is only accessible in its entirety to the administrator of this Moodle platform and the management of the respective work area, other users only in connection with tasks, workshops and forums. They are used exclusively for the implementation of the respective collaborative environment and are not passed on to other persons or bodies, not even in anonymous form. The administration of this Moodle platform and the management of the respective work areas ensure that the automatically generated logs are not statistically evaluated and are not made available to third parties outside the platform.

VII. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures to secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification and dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.

VIII. Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.

When processing personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR serves as the legal basis. If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.

By registering and using the collaboration platform, you are giving your consent to the aforementioned data collection and processing in the knowledge of these explanations. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending a corresponding declaration to the administration of the learning platform.
